20 Rohingyas sent back to Myanmar

Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) has pushed back a boat packed with at least 20 Rohingyas of Myanmar while they were trying to intrude into the Bangladesh territory.


The Rohingyas attempted to intrude into Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar though Jhimongkhali point of the border after crossing the Naf River early Wednesday.


BGB patrol team stopped the boat of Rohingyas and sent it back to Myanmar, said BGB Teknaf-2 Deputy Commander Maj Abu Russel Siddique.


Rohingya intrusion in the country has been dropped as the BGB members are kept vigil along the border, he added.
