Gold prices drops

After raising for two consecutive times, the prices of gold have been dropped by Tk 1,166 per bhori (11.664 gram) in the country.


Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) on Sunday through a press release sent to media said the revised rates will be effective from Monday


Gold of 22-carat will be sold at Tk 45,897 per bhori from Monday instead of previous Tk 47,064 in line with the revised price.


The price of 21-carat gold will be Tk 43,856, instead of Tk 44,965 while the price of 18-carat gold will be Tk 38,666, instead of Tk 39,483.


For gold calculated on traditional method, customers will have to pay Tk 24,844. Earlier, the price was Tk 25,660.


Earlier on February 8, BAJUS increased the gold prices by Tk 991 while on January 13, they increased the prices by Tk 1,050 to Tk 1,458.
