RAB ends Jhenaidha drive

Rapid action battalion (RAB) has turned an end to the two-day long anti-militancy drive at two homes of Chuadanga village under Jhenaidha Sadar Upazela on Wednesday noon.


Mufti Mahmud Khan, director of law and media wing of RAB, announced the end of the drive formally at Jhenaidha RAB-6 headquarters around 12:30pm today.


Earlier, on Tuesday morning RAB seized the house for two hours and started operation at noon.


In the first day, law enforcement agency had resumed the drive after halting it for hours.


RAB could not found anyone at the claimed hideout, it said.


RAB members arrested two men on suspension of being militant members.


During the raid RAB seized two suicidal vest, five powerful bombs, 18 dynamite sticks, 186 short circuits and an anti mine.
