Doing politics over 16th amendment unwanted: Attorney General

Attorney General Mahbubey Alam today said, 'Doing politics over the Supreme Court verdict scrapping the 16th amendment to the Constitution, is actually unwanted.'


Blaming BNP he also said, 'BNP is continuing its conspiracy to remain active in the political field over the judgment.'


Attorney General made the comments while chatting with journalists at his office in the capital on Thursday.


Earlier Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha on Thursday said the apex court will not walk into any trap.


He also urged all not to do politics over the Supreme Court verdict scrapping the 16th amendment to the Constitution.


Regarding the amendment to the Constitution of the country, the 799-page full verdict was released on August 1.
