Burimari-Lalmonirhat train movement collapsed

Train traffic between Burmari land port and Lalmonirhat rail route have severely been halted as the railroad collapsed due to heavy flood across the northern region of the country for last few days.


A local train was trapped at Burrimari land port due to the collapse of the railroad.


Abdul Motaleb of the Burimari Railway Station said that all other train schedules have also been canceled because of the flood.


Nazmul Islam, officer-in-Charge of Lalmonirhat railway division, said that the soil beneath a railway bridge of Burimari-Patgram line collapsed on Saturday night.


Meanwhile, railroad also collapsed by Teesta water between Hatibandha Alimuddin Degree College and Hatibandha railway station. Same condition was prevailing at the Parulia-Votmari railway line which forced the train movement collapsed, he added.
